In times of challenge, transition, and/or discomfort it’s essential to tend to our hearts. Not to wall them in or close them off from the world, but to allow them to be so full of courage (from cor, Latin for heart) that what we feel we need protection from does not penetrate our core.

For many generations certain herbs have been called upon to both encourage the heart into action and enhance spiritual protection.

The most important ingredient here is intention. 

Together we will work on crafting an intention for what we feel needs protecting and hold dear in our hearts. We will call in the spirits of the plants to help us, as well as any other allies or guides you work with. 

 If you are able to gather some of these ingredients ahead of time, we can craft the oil together, or you can set your intention, call in the spirits of the herbs, and craft the oil with the instructions provided.

 Supplies:

• Jar for infusing

• Heat source and cooking pot (if using heat infused method)

• Carrier oil (avocado, olive, jojoba)

• Any combination of the following herbs:

  • Hawthorn (berry, leaf, flower, thorn)

  • Rose petals

  • Yarrow

  • Mugwort

  • Ginger

  • Cinnamon

  • Anise hyssop

  • Agrimony

  • Cinquefoil (Potentilla)
