Northeast Medicinal Plants: Identify, Gather, and Use 111 Wild Herbs for Health and Wellness (Timber Press) is here! It’s a user-friendly field guide like no other for northeastern North America. Beautiful full-color photos and straightforward descriptions make identification in the wild a snap. It was a joy to photograph and profile the wide variety of medicinal plants that grow wild right here in the Northeast. I can’t wait until you can get a copy!

What folks are saying about Northeast Medicinal Plants

I’m kinda gushing over this book. Thank you so much for this offering. I’m flipping thru the pages and every plant featured I’m like no way holy shit black eyed Susan is medicinal?! This book is excellent for a NJ gal and I haven’t seen these plants that grow all where I live, regionally put together in a book for the east coast that is this detailed and accessible and all in one place with great info and pictures. I gathered some fallen boughs of white pine today and had never thought to harvest the bark. Just awesome. Thank you Liz ✊🏼💜💜

“This 💚💚💚 is really such a beautiful, rich and magical read thus far. I am cracking into her today and my gosh- just in awe. Thank you so much for writing this and for signing it for me. Means the world. I am so excited to learn more about the sweet gum, sassafras and all of it as I have encountered such a vast array of plants/ trees here.

Thank you for making the Fall so much more special Liz🙏🏾💚”

“…loving it for the record, it’s so much more than a guide to identifying plants (which of course you know, but it took me reading to find out). As I try to navigate the world of medicinal plants I often feel a bit in over my head, but I think that’s what I’m enjoying as I spend time with this book - it’s helping me slow down, live with more intention, question my impact ... but it’s also just fun to realize things like, ‘Whaa that’s mugwort? I pass that every day at that house on the corner going to the subway.’
